Introduction & Need for Solar Water Pump

The solar water pump project is an initiative to use solar energy to run pumps to extract water from bodies of water such as rivers, lakes, ponds, or wells. Solar energy is used to power a motor, which drives the pump, and provides water where it is needed. Solar water pumps are used in areas with no access to electricity or where the power supply is unreliable or expensive. This project is used for irrigation, livestock watering, and for providing drinking water for communities. Solar water pumps can be used in remote areas where there is no access to traditional power sources, and in areas where electricity is expensive or unreliable. They are also beneficial for reducing the need for burning fossil fuels, which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Solar water pumps are relatively easy to install and maintain. They require little or no maintenance and can last for many years. Solar pumps are also more affordable than traditional pumps, and installation and maintenance costs are often lower than conventional pumps. Solar pumps are also more energy efficient, reducing energy costs and increasing efficiency.

Solar water pumps can also be used to reduce water wastage by preventing the over-watering of plants and crops. They can also reduce water pollution from runoff from agricultural fields. Solar pumps are environmentally friendly and do not cause noise or air pollution.

Solar water pumps can be used to provide drinking water for communities in remote areas or to provide irrigation for crops in areas where water is scarce or expensive. Solar pumps can also be used in disaster relief or emergency situations, where access to power or water is limited. Solar pumps can be used to provide clean, safe drinking water to those who need it.

Solar water pumps are a great way to reduce energy costs and reduce emissions from burning fossil fuels. They can also provide access to water for communities in remote areas or in areas where water is scarce. Solar water pumps are also environmentally friendly and do not cause noise or air pollution.

Working & Circuit Diagram

In this project we are using two main circuit to operate the project Automatic Solar Water Pump.

  1. Solar Charger Circuit.
  2. Relay driver circuit to drive the motor & for Automatic operation.

Solar Charger Circuit:
Now if I talk about first circuit then the first circuit will take the electrical energy from the Solar Panel and will charge the battery using that electrical energy. So basically this solar charger circuit will provide proper amount of current and voltage so that that can charge the battery. The main component in the Solar charger circuit is LM317. The charged battery we were utilised to run solar water pump. Below is given solar charger circuit.

Relay driver circuit to drive the motor & for Automatic operation:

Here Two aluminium plate act as water sensors. whenever these plates will come in contact with each other through the water then the relay will be activated and the motor will cut off. This will lead to cutting off the water supply. whenever the connection between these two plates will be broken through the water then they will make the relay connection will be in a state where it will activate the motor again.
